Opening acts have now been announced for Steinbach’s 2012 Summer in the City Festival, happening on June 15 and 16 in downtown Steinbach.
Ticket sales have been steady for Steinbach’s Summer in the City Festival, with less than a month to go before the 4th annual event. Manitoba seems to be a bit of a theme this year with DOC Walker closing the night on Friday and Burton Cummings and Band wrapping up the festival Saturday evening.
The final line-up was decided this past week for Steinbach’s street festival and the following acts have been scheduled:
Friday night opening for DOC Walker – Jason Petric (Modern Country), McKenzie Road (Contemporary Country), Jason Kirkness (Rock Country), Quinton Blair (Honky Tonk Country)
Saturday night opening for Burton Cummings – Dormant Ember (Rock),Corny “Elvis” Rempel (Elvis Tribute), Mike Burnard (Pop Rock), The Cracked Egg Shell (Classic Rock 50’s – 80’s), Jordan St.Cyr (Pop Rock)
Tickets for both evening shows are available at Earls Meat Market, MTS Connect and Safeway in Steinbach.
