The recipients were:
Constable Kevin Bernier was recognized for his courageous and meritorious actions on August 11, 2011, in The Pas. While off duty, Cst. Bernier came to the aid of a woman being attacked by a man. Cst. “Honouring the contributions of Regular Members, Civilian Members and Public Service Employees is one of my greatest honours” said Assistant Commissioner Bill Robinson. “Keeping Canadians safe is the service we pride ourselves on, and the fact that they have been doing it for decades show the quality of our Force, and the high level of commitment this organization inspires in its members.”
