May 30, 2012, at about 12:30am, Thompson RCMP responded to a call for assistance at a residence in the Eastwood area of Thompson.
RCMP report that a 42-year-old male was found injured in a residence and transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police say that an arrest has been made in this incident, however, no charges have been laid at this point. The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
An autopsy will be scheduled in Winnipeg.
RCMP Thompson Detachment along with the RCMP Major Crime Services and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.

The deceased has been identified as Thompson resident, Allan David Pronteau. The deceased’s 18-year-old daughter, Jacqueline Brightnose has been charged with manslaughter.
