A Chemawawin man is facing numerous drug related charges after being arrested by police this past weekend.
On July 22, 2012, following an investigation by the RCMP Chemawawin Detachment, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant was executed at a residence in the Community of Chemawawin. Officers from Chemawawin and Grand Rapids Detachment searched the residence where 47 grams of cocaine and $7,200 in cash was seized.
28-year-old Warren Scott George of Chemawawin, was arrested and charged under the CDSA for possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking, possessing a controlled substance. George is also facing charges of proceeds of crime over $5,000 under the Criminal Code.
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is about $4,500.
