An investigation led by the The Pas RCMP Detachment, assisted by several RCMP support units, resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a property near The Pas. RCMP seized 23 firearms on-site and two individuals will face numerous firearms related offences.

On September 6, 2012, shortly after 9am, RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence. The investigation resulted in four individuals being arrested and taken into custody.
A search of the residence resulted in police seizing 18 long barreled firearms, 5 handguns and over copious rounds of ammunition.
Two of the individuals arrested have since been released unconditionally.
A 21-year-old man will be facing 21 firearms related offences. He has been released from police custody on a promise to appear with an attached undertaking with a condition not to possess weapons and is to attend The Pas court on Nov 5th, 2012. Formal charges are pending.
53-year-old Kyle Martinson of The Pas District has been charged with 22 firearms related offences and was remanded in custody. He will appear in The Pas court on Monday September 10, 2012.
The investigation continues.
