On the afternoon of, September 20, 2012, officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP detachment responded to a report of robbery at a Mountain Road business.
Police say that a male wearing a disguise, walked in to the business around 2:15pm, pointed what appeared to be a gun at the clerk, and demanded money. No money was given to the man and he then fled on foot.
Two elementary schools in the immediate area were notified of the incident and locked their doors. Investigators surrounded the area and a search for the suspect was conducted with the assistance of a police dog. At approximately 2:55pm a suspect was located and arrested without incident. No injuries were reported.
