A Portage la Prairie man is facing drug related charges after being arrested by police this past week.
Just before midnight, on September 19, 2012, Portage la Prairie RCMP and General Investigation Section executed a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of 4th Street NW in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
A small amount of marijuana, paraphernalia consistent with trafficking marijuana as well as an undisclosed amount of cash were located and seized from the residence.
Perry Mousseau of Portage la Prairie, was arrested and charged for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. He has since been released and is scheduled to appear in Portage la Prairie Provincial Court on November 5, 2012. Charges are pending on a Portage la Prairie, female resident in relation to this incident.
Police continue to investigate.
