The Steinbach and Area 2012 Flu Clinic Schedule is now available from the Southern Regional Health Authority.

The flu shot is free to all Manitobans and Flu Clinics in the South East are currently scheduled. When attending clinics, you are reminded to bring your Manitoba Health Card and wear short/loose-fitting sleeves.

An annual flu shot is especially important for those at increased risk of serious illness from the flu, their caregivers and close contacts. This includes:

  • seniors age 65 or older
  • children age six months to four years
  • those with chronic illness
  • pregnant women
  • health care workers and first responders
  • individuals of Aboriginal ancestry
  • people who are severely overweight or obese

If you are 65 or older or have a chronic illness, you should also get a pneumo shot. One pneumo shot may give you a lifetime of protection.

For personal advice on self-care or when to seek further care, Manitobans who cannot contact their primary health-care provider can phone Health Links РInfo Sant̩ at any time at 1-888-315-9257.
