On November 7, 2012, at about 12:16am, Steinbach RCMP were informed that the Steinbach 7-Eleven convenience store was just robbed at knife point.
Steinbach RCMP attended the scene and learned that the suspect fled the store on foot in an unknown direction holding cash in his hand. The store was secured by RCMP and the area was immediately searched with the assistance of the RCMP police service dog. Steinbach RCMP have seized video surveillance of the suspect in the store.
Investigation revealed that the lone suspect entered the store wearing a red and blue colored mask with a black hood over his head while holding a large, butcher type knife. The suspect pointed the knife at the employees demanding them to open the cash registers. The suspect then reached into the register and stole approximately $80 cash.
RCMP report that the employees were not injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, in his early twenties with fair skin, light coloured facial hair and approximately 5’6″ tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, green cargo pants and purple gloves.

The investigation has revealed a person of interest that Steinbach RCMP believe possesses information in connection to the armed robbery. This person attended the 7-Elevin store after the incident and made disclosures to the employees pertaining to the robbery. Police are requesting this person’s assistance and asking that they contact the Steinbach RCMP Detachment at 204-326-4452.
