On November 5, 2012, at about 10:30pm, Dauphin RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to a complaint of an injured male at a residence in Ochre River, Manitoba.
On arrival police located a 45-year-old man with stab wounds. He was transported to hospital where he later died. An autopsy has been scheduled to take place in Winnipeg.
RCMP report that 25-year-old Desi Ronald Nepinak was arrested and has been charged with second degree murder.
The accused and the deceased are known to each other and are both residents of Ochre River.
Dauphin RCMP Major Crime Unit, Dauphin RCMP Forensic Identification Unit and “D” Division Serious Crime Unit continue to investigate.
