The dinner was held at the Mennonite Heritage Village Museum in Steinbach and featured speeches by Vic Toews, MP for Provencher and Minister of Public Safety and the Honourable Gerry Ritz, MP for Battlefords-Lloydminster and Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food.

“I would like to thank everyone who attended this wonderful event,” said MP Toews. “I was very pleased to see so many Conservatives come out in support of our local riding association.”

Those in attendance heard both Ministers speak about the Harper Government’s priorities; creating jobs, promoting economic growth and securing long-term prosperity.

Other topics discussed included the elimination of the long-gun registry, opening of new markets for Canadian agricultural products and new initiatives to help build safer streets and communities across Canada.
