On November 27, 2012, at about 1:30pm, Carberry RCMP officers were called to investigate a motor vehicle collision involving an injured 14-year-old pedestrian. The collision was reported to have occurred at 12:45pm at the Carberry Community Hall located at the intersection of Second Avenue and Toronto Street, in Carberry, Manitoba.

RCMP report that a 17-year-old youth from the Carberry area was driving a pick-up truck which subsequently lost control and collided with the south side of the Community Center wall, pinning a 14-year-old male victim between the wall and the truck.

Police say that the victim was taken to hospital with several injuries.

The investigation by the Carberry RCMP and the RCMP Criminal Crash Investigative Team is ongoing and police are considering Criminal Code driving offences.
