On December 14, 2012, at about 11:45pm, Stonewall RCMP and local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal two-vehicle collision on Highway 6 near Warren, Manitoba.

Initial investigation indicates that a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt and a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu were both traveling north on Highway 6 when the Cobalt attempted to make a u-turn. the Cobalt was struck on the drivers side by the Malibu.

RCMP report that there were four occupants in the Cobalt, an adult male and female and two children. All were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The male driver of the Cobalt, a 22-year-old man from Little Saskatchewan First Nation, was later pronounced deceased at hospital. The driver of the Malibu, a 23-year-old man from the RM of Grahamdale, was not injured.

Police say that there were no other persons or vehicles involved.

An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the ongoing investigation.
