Two Selkirk men are facing numerous charges in connection with a recent break-in that occurred in the RM of St. Andrews this past week.
On December 13, 2012, just before 10:30pm, Selkirk RCMP responded to a 911 call of a break and enter in progress to a residence on Highway 9A in the RM of St. Andrews. Police were told an adult male had entered a residence using violence.
Upon arrival, police located an adult male inside the residence. The male was arrested for breaking and entering and taken into Police custody.
RCMP report that 25-year-old Alex Doyle of Selkirk has been charged with break and enter, unauthorized possession of a firearm, pointing a firearm, assault, wearing a disguise with intent to commit crime, possession of restricted weapon, possession of a weapon obtained by crime, possession of property obtained by crime and two charges of failing to comply with Probation. Police also executed an arrest warrant for drug trafficking on Doyle stemming from Project DEDUCT.
Also arrested in this incident was 21-year-old Meegwan Courchene of Selkirk. Courchene was charged with breaking and entering and failing to comply with probation.
Both subjects are currently remanded in custody.
Police continue to investigate.
