The statement made by the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety and Member of Parliament for Provencher, was made on behalf of the Honourable Lynne Yelich, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification.
“Our Government is committed to creating jobs, growth and long-term prosperity in our communities across Canada,” said Minister Toews. “By making these investments in local infrastructure, we are helping boost economic activity and maintain a high quality of life for Canadians.”
The Harper Government’s investment of $25,300 will enhance the services provided by the Kleefeld Recreation Association and will create jobs. The project includes upgrades and repairs to the Kleefeld baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and tennis courts.
“The Rural Municipality of Hanover is thankful to receive this funding under the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund to repair our baseball diamond and tennis court facilities at the Kleefeld Park,” said Stan Toews, Reeve, Rural Municipality of Hanover. “The partnership between the Government of Canada, the Rural Municipality of Hanover and the Kleefeld Recreation Association will allow the Town of Kleefeld to continue to provide quality recreation to residents at this very important time of community growth and development.”
