On February 14, 2013, Thompson RCMP, with the assistance of Manitoba Justice Public Safety Investigations, executed search warrants at two residences located in the Eastwood and Juniper areas in Thompson.

During the course of the investigation, RCMP officers seized about two pounds of marijuana, one pound of psilocybin and about $5,000 cash.
RCMP report that 22-year-old Ryan Mitchel Bailey of Thompson has been charged with possession of marijuana and psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is also facing charges of possession of proceeds of crime under the Criminal Code.
Bailey has been remanded into custody to appear in Thompson Provincial Court on February 19, 2013.
Police say that the estimated street value of all the drugs seized is $8,000 in Thompson.
