Starting in August 2013, Red River College’s Steinbach Campus will begin offering the LPN to BN (Licensed Practical Nurse to Bachelor of Nursing) Program.
The program allows LPN applicants who successful meet admission requirements to receive credit for the first year of the BN program, and to instead enter at Year 2. It’s part of a wide range of academic and career training options available to area residents via RRC’s Steinbach Campus.
“Colleges drive the economic and social development of the regions they serve, providing applied learning opportunities that lead students to rewarding careers and producing a highly skilled workforce for local industry,” says Campus Manager Mary-Ann Shukla. “Red River College Steinbach Campus is no exception, and this new program will allow us to further enhance the range of training options already available.”
RRC’s Steinbach Campus will host an Open House on Fri., Feb. 22, from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m., at 2-385 Loewen Blvd. Members of the public are encouraged to visit and explore the range of programming options available on campus, and to enjoy food, refreshments, tours and guest speakers, along with door prizes and networking opportunities.
Students at RRC receive high-quality, hands-on training and fieldwork experience from instructors with proven industry credentials. According to recent survey results, 94% of RRC graduates seeking work found employment after graduation, while 93% reported being satisfied with their educations.
