Temporary spring roadway weight restrictions in Steinbach will commence on March 15, 2013 at 6am and will likely continue until June 03, 2013.
The City of Steinbach reports that spring weight restrictions are posted on all gravel and asphalt surfaced streets in order to avoid roadway damage during the spring thaw period. A load restriction of 65% of the normal legal axle loadings are posted on the applicable Steinbach streets, as road conditions require.
Steinbach’s By-Law Enforcement Officer will be monitoring truck activity within Steinbach. The 65% of normal axle load rules will be applied, enforced and fines issued to violators accordingly.
