Manitoba Pork Council has announced the election of two directors for the West and East District.
The election recently took place for two positions on the Manitoba Pork Council Board of Directors. Mr. Rick Prejet was re-elected as Director (West District) and Mr. Scott Peters was elected by acclamation as Director (East District). Both positions are for a two-year term.
Rick Prejet has been involved in the hog industry for a number of years with his wife, Roseline, and four children. Rick was born, raised and farms in the Notre Dame de Lourdes area. He was first elected as a Delegate on Council in 2004 and has served as a Director since 2009.
Scott Peters, from the Steinbach area, is a third-generation farmer and was first elected as a Manitoba Pork Council District Advisor in 2011 representing the East District. With his wife, Debbie, he has three children and, while busy with farming, is also involved in sports, church and school activities.
Election for one Director-at-Large (two-year term) will take place at the Annual General Meeting, April 10, at The Fairmont Winnipeg. For further information, contact Mike Teillet, returning officer, at 204-235-2309.
