RCMP are asking the public for assistance in identifying a truck and suspects involved in a recent scrap metal theft incident that occurred in the RM of Portage la Prairie.
Suspects stealing scrap metal from Shewfelt’s Plumbing and Heating in the RM of Portage la Prairie.
RCMP report that just before 4:30pm on May 12, 2013, three unknown suspects, driving a white Dodge Dakota truck, stole scrap metal from the property of Shewfelt’s Plumbing and Heating in the RM of Portage la Prairie. Police say that the suspects exited the truck and loaded scrap aluminum and copper piping into the truck before driving off the property.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white Dodge Dakota Sport with a black hood.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the truck and suspects from images captured on a surveillance camera. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Portage la Prairie RCMP at 204-857-4445 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
