A Dauphin man is facing numerous charges, including possession of stolen property, after being arrested by police this past weekend in Dauphin, Manitoba.
On July 6, 2013 at around 4:20am, Dauphin RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision on 7th Avenue South West in Dauphin, Manitoba.
Officers attended and located a white Pontiac SUV that had struck a pole. Moments later, investigators located and arrested two suspects, the driver and his passenger, who had been walking on 8th Avenue S.W. Once in custody, investigators received a report from the owner of the SUV stating it had been stolen sometime within the last few hours.
RCMP report that 20-year-old Carl Jessie Klyne of Dauphin, has been charged with possession of stolen property, refusing to provide a breath sample and breach of probation. Klyne has been remanded in custody to appear in Provincial Court in Dauphin on July 9, 2013.
Police say that the passenger has been released from custody with no charges at this time.
