On Sunday, April 26, 2009 shortly after 6 a.m., Swan River RCMP Detachment responded to an armed robbery at a local Convenience store on Main Street in Swan River.
Investigation revealed that a male individual armed with a knife, entered the store with his face covered, assaulted an employee and left the store with a small amount of cash.
On April 27th, a 14 year old local area youth was arrested and charged with robbery with a weapon and other related criminal charges . He will be appearing in Youth Court in Swan River on April 29th, 2009.
The employee was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and released shortly thereafter.
