On August 7, 2013, just a little after 5pm, Swan River RCMP and Parkland EMS were dispatched via 911 to an assault with a weapon complaint in Swan River, Manitoba.

Police say that a disagreement at a residence on the 1300 block of 1st Street North led to an assault with an edged weapon. A 31-year-old adult male from Birch River received minor injuries. The victim was transported by EMS to Swan River hospital where he was treated and later released.

RCMP report that 33-year-old Darcy Norman Audy of Swan River has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Police say that alcohol was a factor in this incident.
