On August 8, 2013, just before 10:30pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP, along with local Fire and EMS, were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover at the junction of PR 313 and PR 520 in the RM of Lac du Bonnet.

RCMP arrived on scene and found a pick-up truck on PR 313 with two male occupants. The passenger, identified as a 45-year-old Winnipeg man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, identified as a 40-year-old Winnipeg man, was transported to a hospital in Winnipeg with serious injuries which were believed to be non-life threatening.

RCMP continue to investigate what lead to the collision with the assistance of an RCMP Traffic Analyst. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
