A Richer man is facing numerous charges after crashing into a police vehicle at highway speeds earlier this weekend in the RM of Ste. Anne.
On September 21, 2013, shortly before 1am, two members of the Steinbach RCMP detachment were on patrol on Road 37 N in the Rm of Ste. Anne, Manitoba when their police vehicle was struck by a Buick Century that had driven through a stop sign at highway speeds.
Both Police officers as well as all 4 occupants of the Buick were transported to Bethesda hospital in Steinbach with non life-threatening injuries.
Cameron Kostash, 24, of Richer, has been charged with 4 counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm, 4 counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, 3 counts of uttering threats to kill police, 2 counts of failing to comply with a probation order and resisting arrest.
Cameron Kostash is being held in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Center.
