Sergeant Doug Davis of the Ste. Anne Police was recently recognized for his exemplary law enforcement service as he was presented with several awards last week Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Among the awards received was in recognition of over 30 years of loyal and exemplary service to law enforcement in Canada. The award was presented by the Governor General of Canada. The Premier of Ontario presented Sergeant Davis with an award for over 30 years with the Ontario Public Service sighting his impressive contribution to the public service and expertise in the field of Policing.
Sergeant Davis also received the first bar medal which is presented to a serving Police Officer who has completed 30 years or more of exemplary service with one or more recognized Canadian Police Services. This was presented by Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police Vince Hawks.
Chief Robichaud said he was very proud of the accomplishments of Sergeant Doug Davis. “Doug is a great addition to our police department. It is not often that small town police departments have officers with his level of accomplishment or expertise”.
