On October 5, 2013, just before 2:30am, Central Plains RCMP received a report of an armed robbery on Dufferin Avenue in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Police investigation revealed that on the same date, at approximately 1:30am, while walking down Dufferin Avenue, a 17-year-old male youth was approached by a rusty gray four-door hatchback automobile with at least two male individuals. The driver brandished a handgun and demanded that the youth turn over his money. The youth turned over an undisclosed amount of cash from his wallet, after which the vehicle drove off eastbound. No injuries were reported.
The suspects were both described as male and aboriginal in appearance, mid-20s to early 30s. The driver was described as having a crooked nose and wearing a hoodie. The passenger was described as having a ponytail.
