Steinbach RCMP are advising the public of an alleged fraud where Unknown person(s), claiming to represent the company ADSPEC, have been contacting local business soliciting them with promotional items.
Police say that the representative claims that after purchasing the promotional items, the purchaser will be entered into a draw to win prizes ranging from gift certificates, TV and pickup trucks.
Steinbach RCMP are advising the public that this solicitation is believed to be fraudulent. Business owners and employees should be diligent when providing personal information or credit card information to unknown parties.
