A Thompson man is facing impaired driving charges after being arrested by Steinbach RCMP this past weekend.
On February 21, 2014, during the early morning hours, Steinbach RCMP observed a vehicle leaving a local establishment that serves alcohol. After observing erratic driving behaviour, police completed at traffic stop and believed the driver was impaired by alcohol.
RCMP report that the 26-year-old male driver was arrested and subsequent breath samples confirmed that the driver was over the legal limit and operating a motor vehicle while impaired. The driver was released to appear in Steinbach court in March.
Police say that the driver is a resident of the RM of Thompson, outside of Morden, MB.
