The City of Steinbach does its best to post proper signage as required, but in certain situations, it can be confusing as to when and where parking is allowed on city streets or on other property within city limits. It is also important that drivers, especially residents of Steinbach, are aware of the City’s Traffic By-Law.

Steinbach’s Community Services Officer, Trevor Schellenberg, says that the most common parking infractions include:

  • parking in fire lanes (i.e. in front of Superstore or Walmart)
  • parking too close to fire hydrants (within 3 metres of hydrant)
  • parking in front of or blocking part of driveways/approaches
  • parking in No Stopping zones

The City of Steinbach advises local residents to take a few minutes and be reminded of the most common traffic and parking violations to avoid the frustration of a ticket.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Community Services Officer by email at tschellenberg@steinbach.ca or by phone at 204-346-6561.
