On the afternoon of March 20, 2014, officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP detachment received a report of a robbery that occurred around 2:30am.
Police say that a 23-year-old male victim, a resident of Dauphin, had stopped his car on 5th Avenue S.W. and was sitting in it when a person walked up and said they needed money. A third person then approached the vehicle and began punching the victim. The three suspects then fled on foot.
Investigators quickly identified the suspects and by 7:30pm, had arrested two people.
RCMP report that a 39-year-old woman and her 18-year-old daughter, both Dauphin residents, are scheduled to make their first court appearance on April 8, 2014, in Dauphin Provincial Court.
