At approximately 6:30am, on March 24, 2014, officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP detachment were called to a Main Street South business after the security alarm was activated.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that a window had been broken. Further investigation revealed a quantity of cash had been stolen from the business. Investigators were able to quickly identify a suspect and shortly after 8am, had arrested one person.
RCMP report that Joshua James Chartrand, 24, of Dauphin, has been charged with break, enter and theft as well as breach of probation. Chartrand has been released on a recognizance.
