An Ontario man is facing numerous drug trafficking related charges after recently being arrested by Portage la Prairie RCMP.
On April 2, 2014, at approximately 5pm, an RCMP officer conducting traffic enforcement on the Trans-Canada Highway near MacGregor, Manitoba, stopped an eastbound vehicle. During the investigation, police located approximately five pounds of marijuana, three ounces of cocaine, an undisclosed amount of cash and a variety of drug paraphernalia.
RCMP report that 25-year-old Scott Ray of Roslin, Ontario, has been arrested. He is charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking marijuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. Ray has been released from custody and is to appear in Portage Provincial Court on May 3, 2014.
