Steinbach’s Summer in the City Festival Committee has announced that Canadian Star Chad Brownlee will be the Saturday night headline artist at this year’s event on the G&E Homes stage. Opening for Chad Brownlee will be a local favourite Julian Austin.
Chad Brownlee, Canadian country artist, will be performing at the 2014 Steinbach Summer in the City Festival.
The Festival Chair Crystal Hildebrandt, Mayor Chris Goertzen, Owner of G&E Homes Cheryl Dueck as well as Mike Fast were in attendance to make the announcement. Stage sponsor Cheryl Dueck is a proud supporter of Summer in the City. “Its amazing to see the community come together to embrace our local arts and culture. The energy and excitement that the bigger name headliners bring to the stage make so many young and talented local artists proud to share the stage throughout the day”. Mayor Chris Goertzen shared his admiration for the growing popularity of the festival. “Summer in the City continues to grow and attract new people to celebrate our local talents. The ability to reunite with friends and neighbors helps build a strong community”. Festival Chair Crystal Hildebrandt explained how each year the list of options for the headlining act grows as the festival gains respect in the music community.
The announcement was made also highlighting that tickets go on sale today for both Friday and Saturday night. Tickets are $25 each or $50 for VIP. Tickets are available in Steinbach at Safeway, Earl’s Meat Market and at the Steinbach Arts Centre.
