On May 13, 2014, around 4:20pm, officers from the Dauphin RCMP Detachment were called to the intersection of Main Street and 1st Avenue N.E. in Dauphin as a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Police say that a 62-year-old Dauphin woman, who had started to cross the intersection, had been stuck by a pickup truck attempting to make a right hand turn onto Main Street. The woman was transported to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP report that the driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old rural Dauphin man, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act for proceeding before safe to do so.
