The City of Steinbach has begun conducting door-to-door enumeration in order to establish a voters list for the 2014 Municipal Election being held on October 22nd.
Enumerators will visit each residence during the months of May and June. All enumerators will wear City of Steinbach identification.
In order to vote in the election, a person must be a Canadian citizen; at least 18 years of age on election day; and a resident (or landowner) of the City of Steinbach for at least six months (April 22nd) on election day. Students that attend university or college outside of Steinbach, but who intend to return home after the term ends, is considered a resident voter.
