On May 19th, 2009 at about 4:30 p.m., Steinbach RCMP executed two search warrants on two rural properties in the RM of Ste. Anne near Richer, Manitoba.
RCMP located and seized about 600 marijuana plants at one residence and about 1000 plants at the second residence. A stolen snowmobile, ATV, and snowmobile trailer were also seized on the property which were stolen in 2007 from the City of Winnipeg.
Investigation reveals that the two grow operations are linked. Upon execution of the search warrants, one man was arrested while a second man was later arrested at a residence in Winnipeg where a firearm was also seized.
The names of the men arrested are not being released as the investigation continues.
