On July 23, 2014 Brandon RCMP were dispatched to a report of livestock that had gotten loose along Highway 1 in the RM of North Cypress. The cattle were reported to be approximately 20 miles east of Brandon near Camp Hughes.
Police later learned that two 4′ x 12′ blue metal tube gates were stolen from a pasture which released the cattle to wander.
