If any RM of Ste. Anne residents are wondering why drainage projects slated for last year are not occurring, it is because the municipality is still waiting to hear from the province.

According to RM of Ste. Anne council, the municipality made a number of drainage project applications to Manitoba Water Stewardship in 2007.

When council did not receive approval or the licenses for the projects, they contacted Water Stewardship requesting approval to projects in order of importance. That was back in April of this year.

The RM of Ste. Anne is still waiting for the authority to do most of the drainage work requested in 2007 and can not proceed until the proper licensing is received.
