A total of twenty-eight new child care spaces were recently created in St. Adolphe as part of a provincial initiative designed to turn empty classrooms into daycare spaces.
The St. Adolphe Nursery School was identified by the province as one of ten facilities throughout Manitoba with surplus space that could be changed into child care facilities.
Under the initiative two vacant classrooms in the St. Adolphe School, in the Seine River School Division will be turned into space that will hold fourteen preschool and fourteen school age children.
The capital projects will cost the province $1.5 million to create 343 spaces in ten different Manitoba schools, including the St. Adolphe School.
