On February 3, 2015, around 11pm, officers from the Dauphin RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at an apartment on 6th Avenue S.E. in Dauphin, Manitoba.
Police say that the resident had returned home and found two people inside the home. The resident was assaulted by the two people but not seriously harmed. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. Approximately 15 minutes later, officers located the two suspects a few blocks away. Following a brief foot pursuit, police took the two suspects into custody.
Investigators determined the two suspects were also responsible for causing damage to a door at a different apartment complex prior to this break-in.
RCMP report that 22-year-old Geena Marrissa Daphne Parenteau and 25-year-old Aaron Shawn Lavallee, both of no fixed address, are each facing numerous charges. Both have been remanded in custody and will appear in Dauphin Court.
