On March 20, 2015, at approximately 8am, RCMP Federal, Serious and Organized Crime (FSOC) officers executed four Controlled Drug and Substances Act warrants. Two of those warrants were executed in Winnipeg, one was executed in the RM of East St. Paul and one was executed in the RM of St. Clements. The Ontario Provincial Police assisted the RCMP and executed a warrant in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.
During the course of this ongoing investigation, police have seized more than 30 pounds of marijuana, almost 250 oxycodone tablets, a small amount of cocaine and two firearms. Police also recovered a stolen skid steer loader.
RCMP report that 44-year-old Darren Zastre of the RM of St. Clements, 45-year-old Kenneth Lavallee of Winnipeg and 42-year-old James Gerwing of Winnipeg were arrested and are facing numerous drug-related charges.
