On April 13, 2015, just before 4pm, Carman and Altona RCMP responded to a report of a fire at a rural farm property in the RM of Rhineland, Manitoba.

Upon arrival at the scene, the remains of a badly burned male were found on the property. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.

Police say that the flames spread throughout the dwellings and over the property, resulting in an area approximately the size of two football fields being on fire.

RCMP report that the fire does not appear to be suspicious at this time, but the investigation will continue with the assistance of the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
