Steinbach MLA, Kelvin Goertzen, welcomed new lieutenant governor Janice Filmon last Friday at her official swearing in ceremony at the Manitoba Legislature.

Filmon becomes Manitoba’s 25th lieutenant governor and only the second woman to hold the position. Goertzen said he expects Mrs. Filmon to bring her personable and outgoing personality to the position of lieutenant governor and to help inspire young Manitobans to be leaders in our province.
