The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce has announced that they are now accepting public nominations for the 2015 Business Excellence Awards.
“This is a great opportunity for customers to recognize excellence in the business community, which is the reason why the awards mean so much to nominees,” says Linda Peters, Executive Director at the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce. “Being acknowledged by customers is very satisfying and confirms that a business is meeting needs in the community.”
The public can nominate businesses in four categories: Business of the Year, Customer Service, Community Involvement and Future Leader. Nominations will be accepted until August 21, 2015 and can be submitted online at the Chamber website. Nominations can also be submitted by filling out a nomination form at the Chamber Office.
After the nomination deadline, the public will be asked to go to the Chamber website and select the business they feel is most deserving of the Customer Service Award. Public submissions for this award will be available between September 1st and 21st. A selection committee will choose winners from the nominees for the other three categories using specific criteria.
“There is always a lot of discussion about how local business can support the community. These awards are a chance for the community to support local business – for great customer service, for leadership, for helping to make Steinbach a great place to live,” says Peters. “We encourage everyone to participate.”
The winners will be announced and awards presented at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting being held on November 5, 2015.
