On December 2, 2015 just before 10pm, two officers on patrol were traveling south on Highway 3, approximately 1 mile south of Jordan Corner in the RM of Roland, when they observed a person sitting on the west shoulder of the highway. Police also noticed as a sport utility vehicle with the lights on stopped approximately 200 metres out in the field on the west side of the highway.
Officers approached the person, a 25-year-old female and noticed that she was injured. Police immediately requested an ambulance.
The 25-year-old female from the RM of Rhineland had been the lone occupant of the vehicle. She was transported to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Preliminary police investigation reveals that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision.
