Apryl Harel, owner of Apryl Harel Photography in Steinbach, has won the 2015-2016 Just Watch ME! video contest. With the win, Apryl will receive a cash prize of $1,000 and a website, along with some other great business prizes. Community Futures Just Watch ME! video contest celebrates the business success of rural entrepreneurs with disabilities or health conditions.
Apryl Harel’s contest video shares her success story of being an entrepreneur and photographer. A panel of judges from the business community chose her video as one of the “Top Three” in the Seasoned Entrepreneur Category. Over the past two weeks the public has voted for their favourite video. Votes have been received from all over the Prairie provinces as well as from countries around the world!
“Over the long weekend, the voting for each contestant heated up and the results for the contestants were very close,” commented Susan Bater, Entrepreneurs with Disability Program Manager and spokesperson for the contest. “A huge thank you to the public that took the time to vote and support rural entrepreneurs with disabilities or health conditions.”
The second place prize went to Wynyard, Saskatchewan entrepreneur Codey Little, owner of Codey’s Lawn Mowing and Snow Shoveling. He wins a cash prize of $750 along with some great prizes to support his business. Cody Epp, owner of Eppic Industries, located in La Broquerie, won third place. Cody received $500 cash along and some business prizes for his third place finish.
