On February 24, 2016, at approximately 9pm, Carman RCMP officers responded to a head-on collision involving two vehicles on Highway 3, near Sperling, Manitoba.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located two vans on Highway 3. Early police investigation indicates that the southbound van collided head-on with the other vehicle in the northbound lane.
RCMP report that the driver of the southbound vehicle, a 26-year-old Lac du Bonnet man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The adult male driver of the northbound van was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, as well, a young male passenger was also transported to hospital with minor injuries.
A traffic analyst attended the scene and is assisting the ongoing investigation in order to establish the contributing factors of this collision.
