On April 1, 2016, at approximately 9:20pm, Teulon RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7, approximately three kilometres south of the Fraserwood turn-off in the RM of Armstrong.

Officers attended to find STARS as well as fire and paramedic personnel on scene. The investigation revealed that a pickup truck heading south on Highway 7 spun into the opposite lane and was hit by a northbound van.

Police say that all three occupants of the van as well as the male driver of the truck were transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries. A 53-year-old female from Teulon, who was the sole passenger in the truck, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

RCMP report that road conditions in the area were icy at the time of the collision. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this incident.
