On June 26, 2016 just before 5am, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP responded to a report of a two vehicle collision, just outside of Lorette on PTH 207.

Police officers arrived at the scene and discovered that the collision involved a car and a pickup truck. The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 29-year-old Winnipeg woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. All three individuals in the truck sustained non life threatening injuries and are reported to be in stable condition at this time. All are from Winnipeg, including the 18-year-old female driver.

RCMP report that alcohol appears to be one of the contributing factors to the collision. A traffic analyst is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
